Our WMS can produce significant benefits for wholesale distributors. While it is not reasonable to list all the benefits, you can expect to:

• Reduce headcount in the warehouse
• Reduce credits as a percentage of orders
• Increase customer order fill rate
• Increase inventory turns

These are inter-related. For example, because of the technology in our system, it is difficult for a receiving or shipping worker to make an error. There is no keyboard, which means there are no data entry errors. Furthermore, the system minimizes errors; if there is an incorrect pick, for example, the checker will find it. The picker must scan location and barcode; the system will not let him pick the wrong product. He also can't pick from the wrong location.

As result, inventory is more correct. Then this is verified in cycle count. Consequently, buyers have more confidence in inventory levels and order less. So inventory turns go up.

Because inventory is more accurate and because the WMS minimizes pick errors, fulfillment rate goes up for customer orders.

And because customer orders are more correct, there are fewer customer credits - and happier customers.

There is also another level of benefits. With fewer errors in the warehouse, productivity goes up. Consequently, headcount goes down (with our flagship client, reduced headcount was achieved through attrition alone). Remaining warehouse workers tend to remain, resulting in a smaller, more effective workforce.

There is a ripple effect of benefits. With greater confidence in inventory levels, you may be able to reduce the time a buyer spends generating purchase orders. This time can be devoted to inventory control, resulting in even better control over inventory, further reductions in errors, etc.
